JUNE ENGAGEMENT: EQUITY FOR ALL

United Way Suncoast has a long history of commitment and proudly values serving every person in our community. We advocate for diverse, equitable, and inclusive practices that unite, rather than divide, our community providing all the freedom to rise because United We Rise, United We Win.

June is full of reasons to celebrate, such as Juneteenth and Pride Month, and a month to begin preparations for the hurricane season. We seek to empower individuals and families within the Suncoast region to prepare, succeed and live the most authentic life available to them. Through the below opportunities, you can provide additional support to community members served by United Way Suncoast programs.

VOLUNTEER

  • United Way Suncoast First Grade Cohort Kits: Community volunteers are invited to help our Education Team create First Grade Cohort Kits. Volunteers will be placing 8-10 educational items into a bag that will be distributed at a later date to 1st grade children. Sign up here.
  • Ronald McDonald House: The Mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. Through this opportunity, volunteers provide a well-balanced meal to families after they've spent all day at the hospital. This opportunity is in Tampa or St. Pete.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Disaster Preparedness Kits

Corporate or civic partners are invited to sponsor and create Disaster Preparedness Kits as an engagement opportunity for their team of volunteers. Due to availability, this activity would need to take place during the last week of June. View the details
